4 Day Morocco tour from Casablanca itinerary:
- DAY 1: CASABLANCA - MEKNES - FES
Today, we pick you up in Casablanca and begin our private trip with a drive to Fes via the capital Rabat, and also Meknes. After visiting the Roman ruins in Volubilis, we continue to Fes, where we will arrive in the evening. With dinner, spend the night in a traditional Moroccan riad or hotel.
- DAY 2: FES - AZROU - MIDELT - ZIZ VALLEY - MERZOUGA
Today we visit Fes City and see the Jewish Quarter (the Mellah) and the Royal Palace yard, which is the biggest in the country. Then we’ll leave Fes and head to Ifrane, which is often called “the Switzerland of Morocco.” During this trip, you’ll catch glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas Mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber town in the middle of Morocco’s biggest and most famous cedar forest, where you might see Barbarian apes. In Midelt, we’ll have lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant.
After lunch, we’ll drive through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass, along the Ziz Gorges, which were carved out of volcanic rock, and along the Ziz Valley, stopping along the way for sweeping views. We’ll pass through friendly Berber towns on the way to Erfoud, then Rissani, and finally Merzouga. We enjoy a camel ride led by a camel man who knows what he’s doing. This camel ride takes about an hour to get to the camp in the middle of the largest sand dunes, where you will spend the night watching the sunset and stars. The camp is where dinner will be served.
- DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT - TODGHA GORGES - DADES VALLEY
Today in the morning we watch a beautiful desert sunrise, walk over the sand dunes, and admire the amazing landscape of the Sahara Desert. After breakfast we go through the palm groves to Rissani, to visit the marketplace (open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays), and continue to Erfoud to visit the manufacturers of fossilized marble. We will reach the Todgha Gorges, the highest and narrowest canyon in Morocco. Lunch and walk through the Gorge to appreciate the wonderful landscape.
In the afternoon we head towards the Dades Valley and spend the night in Boumalne Dades.
- DAY 4: DADES VALLEY - ROSE VALLEY - SKOURA - MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we explored Dades Valley. Later on, we drive towards the Valley of Roses driving through the palm groves of Skoura and the “One Thousand Kasbahs” road, where you can appreciate 17th-
