9 Day private Casablanca tour to desert itinerary:

Our 9-day Morocco private tour begins today in Casablanca. We pick you up at your hotel, explore the city’s major monuments and attractions, and then get you to Rabat, the capital, to tour the city. We proceed to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, where we spend the night in a local riad.

Today we explore the medina of Chefchaouen, you may explore the small village on an easy walk. Then we drive towards Fes with an optional stop at Volubilis, and we spend another night for a private Morocco trip in Fes.

Today (Fes) we continue our travels by visiting the nation’s oldest and most spiritual center. We will drive you to see, among other attractions, the magnificent main entrance of the Royal Palace, the world-famous Al Qaraouine University, the tanneries, and the Attarine Museum.

After a delightful lunch, the majority of our time will be spent in Fes El Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest and most distinctive sector of Fes’ Medina. Here you will find curved alleyways and enormous Moroccan structures such as Babb Boujloud (the primary gate to the medina). Fez el Bali is a refuge for local artisans due to its profusion of vibrant Moroccan patterns, leatherwork, and metalwork, among other things.

Today, we leave your Riad in Fes, or another convenient location, and drive to begin our journey. Continue to Merzouga by passing through Ifrane and Midelt. On our journey to Midelt, the apple capital of Morocco, we will see the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. At the halfway point, we’ll visit Azrou, a Berber town in the midst of Morocco’s largest cedar forest, where we may view wild monkeys and take photographs. The magnificent Ziz Gorges, formed from volcanic rock, was our route to Midelt via the Tizi N’talghamt pass.

The Ziz Valley, home to the second-largest watercourse in Morocco, is a must-see, and we plan to stop along the way to take it all in. After arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon, you join us for an hour-long camel excursion across the magnificent vast of desert.

The breathtaking sunset and pure sky will leave you with unforgettable memories. We will spend the night in a Nomad tent and engage in a Nomad around fire party. Relax and enjoy yourself while listening to Berber music by the campfire as the sky fills with stars.

After an excellent Moroccan breakfast at the campsite. After driving a 4×4 into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, we will start our trek. Among the many destinations that lie ahead is a populated arid desert. You will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about a nomadic and visit local settlements. Then we visit the nomads in their camp of woven tents. Khamelia, a city inhabited by Malians and Senegalese, was an unavoidable resting stop on our journey. Along with the flavorful tea, we will enjoy a performance of Gnawa music.

After that, we travel to Mefiss, where Berbers have been digging Eyeliner since ancient times. It was also the location of the French colonial militia. After a brief stay, we head to a nearby restaurant that serves authentic Berber pizzas. It’s time to return to the hotel for some rest, dinner, and a restful night’s sleep after a busy day.

Just after a healthy breakfast at the hotel, we’ll go on an off-road excursion into the picturesque black desert, passing through Berber oasis communities adorned with palm trees and mud houses on our route to Alnif. We will relax and refuel at a town known for its fossil trade before continuing on to the high Atlas Mountains, where we will wonder at the contrasting natural beauty of the gorges of Todgha, formed by water seeping through crevices in the rocks.

After seeing the gorges, we will proceed via the beautiful highlands to Dades Valley, where we will spend the night in a hotel with a wonderful view.

After breakfast you will explore Dades Valley, then we continue to Kalaa M’gouna and we visit Skoura. In Ouarzazate, you may visit movie studios before we reach Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. We enjoy a guided excursion of the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Then we drive across the High Atlas mountains to Marrakech. Overnight at local hotel/riad.

Today is the day you will be accompanied by a local guide to explore Marrakech, also called the “southern pearl of Morocco,” today. You will explore the Menara Garden, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and many more sites. The journey will come to an end with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque, which will be followed by a drive to the Garden of Majorelle, which is one of Marrakech’s main attractions, following lunch at Jemma El Fna Square.

You will get the chance to look around the Souq, or market, at the end of the trip, where you may purchase Berber carpets, fresh food, spices, and other handmade items. After dinner, return to your hotel and check-in.

Today you will explore Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. Guided and private tour with hotel transfer. Later afternoon we drive back to Marrakech. End of the tour.
